KARACHI:
In the past few years, we have witnessed an alarming increase in incidents of domestic violence. This violence not only causes physical harm but also leads to long-lasting emotional and psychological trauma that can be very difficult to overcome. Additionally, women are constantly faced with harassment, abuse, and gender discrimination in public spheres.
As a society, we must take proactive steps to address the rising challenges faced by women. Victims of domestic violence and other forms of abuse must be supported through a comprehensive legal framework. They must be given security and shelter. We need to change attitudes and beliefs that perpetuate violence and discrimination against women.
Educational institutes can play a key role in addressing these ideas and beliefs. NGOs working for women’s rights and activists can help raise awareness. By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of all female citizens of the country.
