KARACHI:
With Eid-ul-Fitr right around the corner, people are flocking to bazaars and shopping malls to purchase costly clothes. Amid this shopping frenzy, we must remember that many people are struggling to make ends meet and cannot afford even the most basic items. For them, purchasing a single new outfit for their child is also a challenge.
We often take our privileges and blessings for granted and forget that there are people around us who are struggling financially. These people may not always ask for help, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need it. As we celebrate Eid, we must be more empathetic towards those who are less fortunate. Instead of just focusing on us and our families, let’s try to spread some joy and happiness to those who need it the most.
We can do this by donating clothes or money to charitable organisations that work towards helping the needy and vulnerable. We can also extend a helping hand to our friends, family, and neighbours who may be going through a tough time. Small acts of kindness can go a long way in making a difference in someone’s life. Let’s make this Eid a truly joyful and meaningful occasion for everyone regardless of their financial status.
