LAHORE:
People who demonstrate patience in challenging situations are more likely to experience personal and professional growth. Staying calm and patient in difficult situations allows people to articulate their thoughts and feelings better. Patience is particularly important when working with groups as it requires considering everyone’s opinions and feelings.
At times, people may have differences and not necessarily get along with their colleagues. But it is crucial to maintain a cordial working relationship to get tasks done. The key here is to have control over your temperament. Public and private organisations should emphasise the importance of patience as it can help avert workplace politics and potential arguments or fights. Perhaps, the human resources (HR) department can step in to conduct seminars or workshops on understanding and managing different behaviours. Employees should have access to a healthy mechanism where they can speak about their issues at work.
Patience makes one a better team player, which not only benefits oneself but also contributes to the overall growth of an organisation. Employees need to stay motivated to continue working with the same enthusiasm. Therefore, patience and tolerance must be promoted in all organisations.
