Israeli savagery

Israeli savagery

KARACHI:

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have committed heinous crimes and human rights abuses, which have been documented on several occasions. Unfortunately, Western countries have not only ignored these atrocities but continued to reward the perpetrators with more resources to continue killing innocent Palestinians.

Hundreds of Palestinian children work on Israeli settlement farms in the occupied West Bank. Children as young as 10 years old are forced to work on farms. This is harmful to the children’s health and well-being. They do not receive any medical care as Israeli laws prohibit medical assistance for Palestinians. Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have limited access to food, water, and other necessary services. Residents are forcefully evicted from their homes without any notice. Children do not have access to any form of education. The IDF target young boys arbitrarily and often kill them on sight if they show any resistance.

In 2022 alone, nearly 40 children were slain, and 750 others were detained by Israeli forces. Despite being aware of these gross human rights violations, the West has failed to act against Israel and instead continued to provide it with weapons of mass destruction. All Muslim countries should continue highlighting the Palestinian cause on the international stage and pressuring Western countries into holding Israel accountable.
