CCE-2020: delayed result

CCE-2020: delayed result

KARACHI:

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) is responsible for recruiting civil servants and bureaucrats in the Government of Sindh. However, the commission has been marred with delays and inconsistencies. The results of candidates who appeared for the Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE-2020) in 2020 remain undeclared. This has caused confusion and frustration among the youth as they are unable to apply for jobs.

However, this is not the first time SPSC has failed to deliver its service properly. In the past, SPSC has delayed results and often failed to announce job postings. The commission has ambiguous policies for recruitment in different areas, which prevents candidates from fully utilising their qualifications. Many also question the commission’s legitimacy as they believe that people are appointed based on preferences or nepotism instead of merit.

SPSC has drawn severe criticism and gained poor repute due to its ambiguous policies and delays in procedural work. Hundreds of candidates are suffering due to the negligence of a few at the helm. I urge the Sindh government to address this issue at its earliest and reform the commission to ensure that the efforts of all deserving and qualified candidates pay off.
