The roads in Soldier Bazar have been lying unrepaired for the last six months. Residents and commuters are faced with severe difficulties and dangers as the roads have become a death trap. Initially, the roads were dug out to install new sewerage lines. However, the work was temporarily halted due to the monsoon rains.
Since then, the roads have been lying in a deplorable state. They have become a source of traffic jams. Daily many pedestrians and motorists are met with accidents. I urge the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Administrator and Commissioner Karachi to pay heed to the matter and repair the roads urgently. To ensure that the roads last more than a year, the sewerage system must be repaired, and the roads should be rebuilt with durable material.
