KARACHI:
One segment of society which bears most of the brunt of the day to day processions, protests and long marches in our country is our police force. There are reports of policemen losing their lives and getting serious injuries in the line of duty. However, the services of the police are never acknowledged and the only thing the police get in return is the public wrath. There are people who give due respect to our cops, but their number is very small. I request all of us to respect our police and acknowledge the sacrifices they continue to render for us. It is this force that performs duties for as long as 12 hours at a stretch and fights for our safety and wellbeing despite having very limited resources and meager salaries.
