Road needs attention

KARACHI:

Rai Mansab Ali Kharal bridge was built on river Ravi at a cost of Rs900 million in 2018 to connect district Okara with District Nankana Sahib and District Faisalabad. This hefty amount was spent to improve socio-economic conditions of people residing on both sides of Ravi but the 27km road that connects District Okara with this bridge is still not operational. Accidents and robberies are happening on this road on a daily basis. Hundreds of people have lost their lives as well as millions of rupees of their hard earned money. This road needs immediate attention of authorities because it will solve above mentioned problems and help increase tourists from Balochistan at the tomb of famous Baloch Sardar Mir Chakar Rind situated at Satghara District Okara 37km from Jaranwala Interchange M3. This will not only bridge the gap between Balochs and Punjabis but will also increase national cohesion.
