KARACHI:
Last week, Israeli forces targeted a refugee camp in Gaza Strip in which nine people were martyred. The Zionist army has killed 24 Palestinians, including six children, and injured more than 200 others in airstrikes over two days. The Israeli army also claims to have eliminated Islamic Jihad Commander Khaled Mansoor in these airstrikes. However, martyrdom of Commander Khaled Mansoor could not be confirmed by independent sources, while the Islamic Jihad has fired hundreds of rockets at Israel targets and said that the war has just begun.
Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the attack by the Israeli occupation forces and asked the international community to play its role in ending the tension. Pakistan has also condemned the Israeli attack on Gaza and has called for stopping the use of force against innocent Palestinians. Egypt has called upon the parties to enter into talks. Unfortunately though, the world powers remain silent despite the continued Israeli barbarism. How long will this butchery of helpless and innocent Palestinians continue? I humbly request the UN and OIC to use their influence to save humanity.
