KARACHI:
Students of the University of Turbat are suffering due to lack of proper transportation facilities. The same issue has also been raised in a letter titled ‘Stranded students’ published here. I want to add to the voice of the writer by drawing the attention of the relevant officials towards this huge challenge facing the students of the University of Turbat. The authorities must realise that most of the university students belong to lower-middle class families who simply cannot afford to travel by motorbikes or cars — more so due to the rising petrol prices. Since a lot of students are already struggling to afford educational expenses, the transportation cost is an added burden on them. The provincial government must pay an urgent attention to the sufferings of the student and make arrangements for transportation as early as possible.
