KARACHI:
On the 14th of August, we express our love for our country by taking to streets in droves to celebrate Jashn-e-Azadi, hoist national flags on our cars and houses, play national anthems, etc. But soon after the ‘holiday’ is over, we forget our country altogether. Acknowledging freedom is not just about erupting in celebrations, but it’s about realising our duties as good citizens. With the country facing a worst-ever crisis since its inception, we all need to work to cause a change for the better. And the first step to bring change in the affairs of our country is to bring change in our own conduct.
