Not only are such notices illegal but are meant to harass taxpayers
FBR has recently issued numerous notices to those tax payers who have claimed adjustments of their tax liabilities against advance taxes already paid by them. Not only are such notices illegal but are meant to harass taxpayers. Instead of creating a tax friendly culture in the country, FBR is doing the exact opposite. No wonder a large number of people prefer to remain non-filers. I request the Finance Minister to look into this matter and stop FBR from harassing tax payers.
