Built-up waste

Built-up waste

LAHORE:

Every pedestrian should be allowed to move through their respective street without any hindrances. Unfortunately, the citizens of Shah Kamal Road in Mughalpura, Lahore have been stripped of this facility as piles of garbage are thrown on the streets without care. Students and commuters have to pass by the trash which causes a great nuisance and is a health hazard.

There is a mosque and graveyard on one side of the road and an eye hospital on the other side. Sometimes people carrying funerals are impeded by the filthy trash in their way to the graveyard. The worshipers going to the mosque during prayer time have to walk through the rubbish five times a day. Additionally, pedestrians are susceptible to the looming dangers of dengue, pollution and respiratory diseases. I therefore request the Lahore Waste Management Company to pick up the waste regularly and the move the disposal area to another suitable place.
