Indian atrocities

KARACHI:

A heart-wrenching incident recently occurred in India’s Chhattisgarh Saristal village where someone left their newborn baby girl in an open field to die. However, villagers claim that a female dog protected the child all night before she was rescued by the villagers in the morning. It seems that animals are behaving better than humans and are setting examples of compassion and empathy in the world’s largest democracy.

Although India is a secular democratic state, it does not behave like one. Since the extremist government of Narendra Modi took over, India is aggressively pushing the Hindutva agenda. Minorities are treated worse than animals. Muslims are not even allowed to offer their Friday prayers. Moreover, world powers blatantly ignore India’s atrocities in IIOJK, as a market as big as India is too big to lose. The plight of the people of IIOJK is known to the entire world but money speaks louder than morals.

Be it the ruthless killing of Kashmiri people or the murder of villagers in the Tamil region by the security forces, the extremist and inhumane acts of the ruling party are fast pushing India to the brink of a civil war. I wish the Indian government could learn some compassion and empathy from the dog in Chhattisgarh and let their minorities live in peace.
