With the PTI getting battered in the first round of the local bodies election in K-P, the opposition parties have suddenly come to life. The opposition leaders have started repeating the same bland slogan that the PTI government’s days are numbered. People at the lower end of the economic ladder are more than fed up with the ruling party due to ever-rising inflation. But what do the PPP, the PML-N and other assorted aspiring political entities have to offer? Suppose any of the two mainstream parties come to power, what will they do with a mountain of debt and a shattered economy? Most likely they will do the same as the incumbent government and blame the PTI government for the mess.
