Gas crisis
KARACHI:
The gas supply crisis persists across the country, with people in Upper Sindh, Balochistan and upcountry being the worst sufferers as these are the areas that are in the grip of a severe cold. Domestic, commercial and industrial consumers are equally bearing the brunt of the persisting gas shortage. There are reports that the lack of gas supply to the industry will have a negative impact on the economic growth. Even if the gas reserves in the country are depleting, the government must take steps for a proper supply of the commodity to people.
