KARACHI:
The prices of daily-use items are rising and rising, and the utility services are getting more and more expensive by the day. This has been having a telling effect on the poor class, in particular. With the prices of petroleum products at a historic high in the country, the transportation is getting costlier. Resultantly, the prices of fruit and vegetables are rising too. The expensive electricity is also raising the cost of production at factories. Thus the prices of many household items have also gone up. The ever-rising value of dollar is one major reason for the back-breaking price hike in the country. If the sitting government is unable to provide relief across the board, it must devise poor-centric polices so that they could at least keep their body and soul together in these times of crushing price hike. The government must make a move as early as possible or they may have none to cater to.
