Laudable efforts

People who were unable to leave their homes to get vaccinated or could not go to vaccination centres due to demanding jobs and other reasons can now get vaccinated at their doorstep

KARACHI:

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has recently announced that it will take an initiative to vaccinate those communities which have avoided the vaccination until now. A neighbourhood vaccination unit will be established, and mobile teams will connect with people to ensure they are vaccinated.

People who were unable to leave their homes to get vaccinated or could not go to vaccination centres due to demanding jobs and other reasons can now get vaccinated at their doorstep. This is a commendable effort by the NCOC to ensure that no one is left out in the fight against Covid-19. It is important that the public maintains a positive attitude and supports the government’s efforts to curb the virus. People must not forget that the virus still exists and poses a severe risk to the entire country. It is everyone’s responsibility to get themselves vaccinated especially when it has been made much easier by the authorities. Instead of holding the government responsible for everything, we need to self-reflect. We must continue following the SOPs and get the vaccination to recover from the pandemic and resume a normal life.
