KARACHI:
The public library in Turbat was established by Muhammad Khan Achakzai in 2011. Many students used the library’s services for educational purposes. However, this came to a halt when the pandemic struck. Even though educational institutions throughout the country reopened after the first wave of the pandemic, Turbat library has remained closed till now. So far, no attention has been paid to the issue. The library is said to have not reopened because of construction and maintenance. However, as a resident of Turbat city, I have not witnessed any construction take place since its closure. The closure of the library continues to affect the education of students who would utilise resources from the library. Students do not have access to any other studying facility which is why it is extremely necessary that the library is reopened at its earliest. I want to request the concerned authorities to consider this pressing issue and resolve it at their earliest.
