KARACHI:
Balnigwar is a town in Balochistan with no private or government schools. Due to the lack of educational facilities, students of Balnigwar are forced to move to Turbat for education. However, not all students can afford to move to Turbat. Lack of access to proper education within their hometown discourages students from studying. Lack of adequate educational facilities has various consequences for both the students and the community at large. It is much easier for boys to be able to travel for education compared to girls. Therefore, girls receive little to no education in such areas. Due to limited finances, children are often forced into child labour to support their families instead of seeking education.
The dearth of schools, colleges and universities is sabotaging the prospects of the students of Balnigwar. These students will not be equipped with proper skills and knowledge to seek employment. Therefore, they are likely to suffer in the job market as well and end up in menial professions where they will face further exploitation. I request the government of Balochistan to consider this matter and work on the provision of education in Balnigwar to secure the future of the students.
