KARACHI:
In Pakistan, the number of fatal accidents has drastically been increasing over the past few years. Just a few days ago, I witnessed a car accident near my house. Luckily the driver was safe. However, in many cases, people aren’t lucky and have to face the consequences for the rest of their lives. Some even have to live in excruciating pain till they die as a result of their injuries.
Reckless and rash driving is perhaps the main reason why most accidents occur. Therefore, I urge the authorities concerned to take strict action in order to ensure that people follow the traffic rules. We need safe drivers. This can be done by punishing and imposing heavy fines on those that fail to follow the rules of the road.
