Fighting Covid

Letter March 20, 2021
The pandemic has created a vacuum that now needs to be filled through sustainable and resilient means

KARACHI:

The deadly coronavirus has shaken our sense of invincibility and reminded us that it is possible to fight back in the worst of circumstances. In response to the pandemic, governments are moving forward with stimulant packages designed to revive their economies. Even though this kind of investment is seldom cheap, it is the lower-class who are forced to bear the brunt of the economic sacrifices that are being made.

The pandemic has created a vacuum that now needs to be filled through sustainable and resilient means. Therefore, it is time that countries re-accessed their economic policies currently in place for the rich to get richer. The best way to combat Covid-19 is to fight worldwide inequality.
