BUNER:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission announced 95 Provincial Management Service (PMS) posts in January. There were thousands of PMS aspirants who could not meet the age-limit criteria of 30 years because the advertisements of the PMS posts were delayed due to the pandemic. As a result, a protest ensued as aspirants demanded that the age for this PMS should be relaxed by two years, owing to unprecedented circumstances. The K-P assembly passed a resolution in favour of them on January 12.
As per commission report, there are more than 33,000 aspirants who have already applied to PMS 2021. This age relaxation will add around 10,000 to 15,000 more candidates. Conducting examinations while managing such a huge number of aspirants will undoubtedly be a herculean task for the commission. However, the KPPSC is a reliable institution. They conduct highly transparent exams through a very clean and efficient process. Indeed, it will take no less than a week to conduct the grueling exam for about 40,000 candidates, but surely the commission will set an example by achieving such a remarkable feat flawlessly.
