Lack of scientific research

KARACHI:

Curiosity in man has led him to discover the hidden truths of the universe. At first, religion had the center stage and the power of the church was considered supreme since it signified divinity. However, religion was soon taken over by reason during the Age of Enlightenment, as philosophers undermined the writ of the church claiming that the collective human consciousness was more superior. The advent of the industrial revolution sparked a prolonged conflict between science, reason and religion, after scientific research took precedence. Pure science came out victorious and became the new order of the day.

Today, countries around the world are equipped with the latest technology, with many now moving towards AI. Pakistan, unfortunately, remains at the tail-end of the race. Intolerance in our society has restricted global investors from investing in technological development. For Pakistan to step into the advanced and modern world, it is pertinent that the government focus on improving scientific and research labs across the country. We need to realise that science and religion are two different compartments that must not be intertwined.
