KARACHI:
Amid the vicious cycle of wars and hostilities that have constantly emerged throughout our history, we have ultimately marginalised ourselves into believing that “war for peace” holds some credibility. From controversial sentiments and religious manifestos to statecraft operations, from on-ground battles to skirmishes on borders; all have proven this hypothesis to be flawed. Lessons from our past indicate that mass destruction is carried out for selfish endeavours and nothing else.
In a world where destruction has become the norm, human rights are constantly violated and the vulnerable are preyed upon, we need to propagate ideas of peace, respect, freedom and dignity. We need to unite to bring about a change and make the world a better place for all.
