KARACHI:
The leaders of the PDM want to exercise their right to assemble and protest the failure and inability of the incumbent government. However, in exercising their right, they tend to step on the rights of others. Both the PDM and the ruling parties are playing a game of cat and mouse, further adding to the burden of people and the national exchequer. Our politicians must realise that the past is irretrievable, and they must draw a line somewhere and start fresh. They need to realise that Pakistanis have lost their faith and interest in politics. The citizens have reached a point where they really do not care which party is in power since their hardships never seize to expand.
The people of Pakistan seem under the perpetual curse of inflation, unemployment, and lack of necessities. The opposition and the ruling party do not seem to understand that such a cruel system of marginalisation often ends in bloody revolutions, according to history. If they do not realise the gravity of the situation and change their course soon, it might not end well for anyone.
It is imperative that our leaders shun their differences, sincerely own up to their mistakes, and ask for forgiveness. We need start anew and work for the interest of the nation before the whole country comes crumbling down.
