SheMeansWork is a laudable initiative rolled out by the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) as Pakistan’s first dedicated job portal aimed at providing employment opportunities to fresh female graduates as well as women resuming work after a sabbatical. This portal mainly acts as a headhunter on behalf of employers in the market. The purpose is to economically empower talented females with suitable employment hiring solutions.
One of the many advantages of getting registered with SheMeansWork for job hunt is how the portal presents the best version of any resume to an employer. This provides a competitive edge to an applicant applying via SheMeansWork in comparison with others applying directly to hiring firms.
SheMeansWork is a much-needed initiative aimed at achieving financial well-being of females, making women self-reliant in economic terms, and transform women into strong mothers for the overall benefit of the Pakistani society.
SheMeansWork is a mutually beneficial platform for job-seekers as well as employers who are in search of talented individuals. And the portal only gets paid for its services when an applicant actually gets a job. Having registered online to regain employment after a sabbatical, I wish to be a SheMeansWork ambassador where I can do my bit to inspire other females to pursue a career of their choice and contribute towards Pakistan’s economic prosperity.
