HYDERABAD: Covid-19 has wreaked havoc with the global economy as millions of people all around the world have lost their jobs. The lockdown situation has badly impacted daily wagers. According to estimates, the world economy will sink further and once the crisis is over, its aftershocks will hit the economies of many countries. While this may affect the affluent society, it will only be a dent to their pockets. The reason for this is that the major burden will be put on the shoulders of the poor working class through salary cuts and layoffs. It is essential for the government to have some control over these private profit industries and make it essential for them to donate in order to help the poor. They should share the burden relatively by reducing their profits instead of firing people whose whole family depends on that one job.
While federal and provincial governments are doing their best to provide rations to the deserving and the needy, they should force these affluent people to becoming active stakeholders by investing their personal money into different Covid-related initiatives.
By doing so we can very easily generate billions of dollars to help fight the deadly virus.
If we can provide funds for a dam, we can also contribute to this noble cause.
