Positives of quarantine

Letter April 05, 2020
Be safe and don’t panic.

RAWALPINDI: As we all know, the current pandemic is slowly getting worse. The Pakistani government has taken serious actions by enforcing restrictions and lockdowns across the country. This is a much-needed break for many people as they get to stay at home and spend time with their families, which many are not able to do because of their strict daily routine. This is also a golden opportunity for us to pursue activities that we normally don’t, due to the lack of time, and learn new skills.

This is the best time to return to the Maker and ask for His mercy. So, catch up on your prayers and indulge in more religious and spiritual activities. Sit with your parents to talk about their childhood and other experiences. Play different indoor games. Gossip and discuss with your siblings. Watch all of those movies that you were planning to watch. Read books, novels and other informative material. Call your friends and family and play online games with them.

Fulfil your hobbies, groom yourself, sleep well, clean your home, organize your accessories and try to do new things. You can even learn a new language or try crafting, painting, stitching, cooking and baking. Be kind to each other and take precautionary measures. Be safe and don’t panic.

Muqaddas Amin
