God has taught us an important lesson, everyone is vulnerable and no one person is superior to another
LARKANA: It is nice to see a real show of brotherhood in the whole world in this time of crisis, as people are doing their best to help each other. Some organisations in Pakistan are behaving in a totally different manner. Welfare organisations are doing a commendable job in trying to donate as much as they can. However, volunteers claim that many of the ration bags they have been distributing are just for Muslims. What does it mean? Are Muslims the only people suffering from this pandemic? Do the people who donate only donate for Muslims? Is that the purpose of donation? No. Donation is about humanity, helping others and saving lives. Asking donation for the needy and poor and only donating it to Muslims is against their religious teachings as well.
In this pandemic, God has taught us an important lesson, everyone is vulnerable and no one person is superior to another. Every person is equal in God’s eyes because this virus doesn’t affect any one religion, caste, tribe, colour or country. It affects everyone who touches it. We should learn from this situation. I request such organisations to not discriminate when it comes to donations and charities. Being poor and needy does not have anything to do with religion. For them, humanity should be the first priority.
