Pakistan Day

Letter March 21, 2020
In this time of global crisis, we all need to stand together and support each other

ISLAMABAD: Every year Pakistan Day was celebrated enthusiastically in all the cities and small towns across the country. This year, however, due to the global emergency caused by coronavirus, the government has decided to cancel the much awaited parade in the federal capital as a safety measure for the public to prevent crowded gatherings. As responsible citizens it is our duty to respect the government’s decision and avoid unnecessary public meetings. Furthermore, in this time of global crisis, we all need to stand together and support each other in order to fight against this threat. The whole world is in some sort of a lockdown, many people have died and thousands are being infected every day. Such steps taken by the government are of paramount importance and it will help decrease the spread of the virus in our country. We need to encourage the government to take more steps before the situation gets out of hand.
