Crimes are reported several times at police station concerned but action is seldom taken
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad is considered as one of the most secure cities in Pakistan. The capital was built as a safe city project. The crime rate in the capital is least among all other cities of Pakistan. Sector-I is on the border line of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and has been observed as the target of street crimes for the past few months now. There are a lot of hostels in this sector due to a nearby university. Students living in these hostels often are victims of street crimes.
The most important thing is that these crimes are reported several times at police station concerned but action is seldom taken. These criminals use bikes with no number plates while committing such crimes so that they are not caught. These incidents occur mostly at night when unidentified criminals harass people who are walking the roads of sector I/14. It is getting difficult for students to walk to the nearby hotels or shops.
I would like to request all the relevant authorities to solve the issue as soon as possible. They must solve the issue because each life matters.
