People are losing patience because they often receive inflated utility bills
ISLAMABAD: Since the PTI-led coalition government has come into power unemployment has surged in the country. Poor daily wage earners are desperate for work.
People are losing patience because they often receive inflated utility bills. With a moribund economy, people expect no relief in any manner from the present rulers who according to them are only “good rhetoricians” or “chatterboxes”.
No doubt our economy’s problems are varied and acute, but what is the fault of the people of Pakistan? Why should they bear the entire burden? Why don’t our present rulers take appropriate measures to reform the economy and provide instant relief to the skyrocketing inflation? Why are they repeatedly rehiring the retired prodigal and a parasitic lot of people who only waste resources and do nothing? These “dead woods” and “couch potatoes” will do nothing to alleviate the miseries of the masses because their own miseries are so many. This is why they always beg for repeated extensions on their contractual job.
What happened of PTI government’s tax amnesty scheme and much-touted crackdown against “benami” asset possessors?
