Numerous cases reveal that fake saints beat, harass, hypnotise and molest the people who come to seek their help
KARACHI: These days there are many people who portray themselves as being godmen. They claim to have a direct connection with the Supreme Being. This is however never the case! The fact of the matter is that they are illusionists who defraud people by taking advantage of their problems.
Some others claim to have the messiah complex, where they believe to be messiahs sent from God in order to save the people from their ill fate. While this may be a psychological condition others call themselves “saints” and play with people’s sympathy. Weak people are easily influenced and are tricked into following whatever these fake saints want them to do. Numerous cases reveal that fake saints beat, harass, hypnotise and molest the people who come to seek their help. The government should start taking this matter seriously and track such fake saints down so that they receive their due punishments.
