School education merely gives people a set of skills that might help them create better bombs.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to Daniyal Noorani’s article titled “A summit against extremism” (July 23). I have to say that I found the conclusion of the article a bit frustrating since the writer seems to have linked it all with lack of education.
The fact is that education, and that too school education, merely gives people a set of skills that might help them create better bombs when they become extremists. Or they might become better at promoting and convincing others of their ideology. If only the article had also addressed what I feel is the real issue — that of identity.
