Terrorism in Pakistan

Pakistan has come back strong and has fought the war on terror quite strategically

KARACHI: Globally, Pakistan has been one of the most talked about nations over the last two decades mainly due to the issue of terrorism. Pakistan has lost more than 60,000 lives in terror attacks since the beginning of the war on terror. This has seriously hindered Pakistan’s economic growth and negatively impacted the quality of life.

Despite all this negativity, Pakistan has come back strong and has fought the war on terror quite strategically. Pakistan’s armed forces have played a pivotal role in eliminating terrorism from Pakistan and has laid a foundation of trust and stability. The security situation has significantly improved in the last 5 years. Global tourism in Pakistan has also improved which shows that confidence has been instilled in the international community to visit Pakistan.

We do understand that whilst the security situation has improved, the economic conditions still remain quite stressed with rising inflation and other economic issues at hand. The new government is taking necessary steps towards addressing them. We do believe that it is just a matter of time that we will see a new Pakistan with more stability and a strong economic position, as our prime minister envisions. The war on terror and political unrests in the past have really affected Pakistan adversely and now is the time that we as individuals stood up and gave in our best for the betterment of this beautiful motherland.
