The literacy rate is already dismal yet the government seems to ignore the situation.
TURBAT: After Quetta, Turbat is the biggest city of Balochistan where students come from the remote areas of Makran to acquire education. However, they are soon disappointed when they face difficulties due to the unavailability of basic facilities in educational institutions. Likewise, the students of Girls Degree College Turbat are suffering due to transportation issues. Five buses are nonfunctional while the rest cater to those students that are based in the city. But the students of other areas like Shahtump, Patan Kour, Koshkalat and Tanzag don’t have access to bus service, therefore, they are compelled not to attend classes. Reportedly, over 70 students have left and many other students are on the brink of leaving their studies which is really a matter of grave concern. The literacy rate is already dismal yet the government seems to ignore the situation. I request the government of Balochistan to understand the gravity of the situation and make effective efforts to resolve the problem immediately.
