Animal rights

Letter January 16, 2020
There are many rare species that are on the brink of extinction

TURBAT: It hurts to say that animals do not get their rights. Human beings, the most civilised creature, never think about animals. For our greed, we kill them.

A case in point is that of birds which migrate from one place to another according to their nature. There used to be a large number of birds of various kinds in many areas of the country but now only few can be seen when their season comes. This is because people hunt them in large numbers.

There are many rare species that are on the brink of extinction. I request the people who kill animals for fun or sports not to harm them. They are in need of our protection. If we cannot protect them them at least we should not harm them.
