Fire vs nature

Now it’s time to think and work for nature worldwide.

RAWALPINDI: Three fires have combined to form a single blaze bigger than the New York borough of Manhattan. Australian firefighters have been tirelessly battling devastating bushfires for the past few days.

The fires joined overnight in the Omeo region in Victoria state, creating a 6,000-hectare blaze, according to Gippsland’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

Weather conditions were deteriorating rapidly on Saturday, with the country’s Bureau of Meteorology warning that winds are picking up and temperatures increase. “Today will be a day of severe to extreme fire danger through many districts,” they said on Sunday.

The year 2019 saw the worst fires to hit the Amazon for over a decade. In a time where environmental issues are becoming increasingly political, the Amazon and Australian wildfires have become an incendiary topic that has garnered much attention on the international stage.

Now it’s time to think and work for nature worldwide. Otherwise catastrophic hazards are in queue for mankind.
