Doesn’t the ruling party have anyone qualified for this job from within its own ranks?
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your report of July 19 on the impending appointment of Hina Rabbani Khar as foreign minister of Pakistan. Ms Khar was minister of state for finance during military dictator Pervez Musharraf’s rule and now she has been given a key post by the PPP government. Why? Doesn’t the ruling party have anyone qualified for this job from within its own ranks?
If Musharraf’s ministers are to be accommodated by the PPP in its cabinet, what was the point of ousting the general from the president’s office?
