A civilised country?

Letter July 17, 2011
Pakistan was more ethnically diverse than Sudan at the time of its birth.

MANCHESTER: This is with reference to Sadia Shepard’s article of July 15 titled “The world’s newest nation”.  Pakistan was more ethnically diverse than Sudan at the time of its birth. Around 22 per cent of its population was Hindu and three per cent comprised other non-Muslims. What happened to them?

How can Pakistan compare itself to any civilised country after all that has happened to its minorities?
