ISLAMABAD: We are living in a world composed of God’s most magnificent creations. However, it is a dismal world composed of humans but no humanity. With the rapid development and new inventions, humans are facilitated but lacking values and humanity. It saddens me that there are those who are human in their physical and biological being but humanity and basic nature is lacking. Compassion and respect have all diminished. Every religion tells us about humanity, peace and love that is why no religion is higher than humanity. Humanity is being human; the human nature in us makes us different from other beings. That is why humans have an obligation to help others and make the world a better place. One doesn’t need to be rich or poor to affirm humanity as it entails the respect and acknowledgment of other humans. We are humans; only if we choose to be. In the end, humanity is what defines us.
