Importance of cleanliness

Letter November 01, 2019
Cleanliness saves people from diseases such as Dengue, Typhoid, Hepatitis and many more

KECH: The significance of cleanliness cannot be neglected by any society or country because it plays an essential role in one’s life. Our Holy Prophet said cleanliness is half of our faith, which mean it is very much necessary to make the place clean. Cleanliness saves people from diseases such as Dengue, Typhoid, Hepatitis and many more. Unfortunately cleanliness is being ignored in our country. The biggest city of Pakistan, Karachi, is in a mess. Its streets are full of garbage and its residential areas in a dirty condition. As a result the inhabitant of the city suffers greatly as their health deteriorates at a faster rate. Food and water, which are necessary for our survival, have now become the main source of diseases. It would not be wrong to say that Pakistan is not giving proper attention to cleanliness, people are not throwing away their trash in the allotted place rather the whole city has become a dumping ground for them. I urge the government to take serious action to resolve this dangerous issue.
