PM’s speech

Letter September 29, 2019
He promised to tirelessly fight for the people of Kashmir

GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Prime Minister Imran Khan made a historical and hard-hitting speech at the UN; it was his first speech at the United Nations. He talked about four topics: climate change, money laundering, Islamophobia and Kashmir. Talking about climate change, he mentioned the achievements and targets of Pakistan on climate change, planting billion trees in K-P and 10 billion all over Pakistan. He called upon the world to take firm actions to fight the climate catastrophe. Secondly, he said that money laundering is a big issue with the developing world. Corrupt leaders transfer their money to rich countries and own offshore accounts. He asked the UN to help repatriate the looted money to poor countries. Due to money laundering, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening. Thirdly, he talked about Islamophobia and criticised those that linked terrorism with Islam. He said terrorism has nothing to do with any religion. He spoke about Kashmir and showed the face of Modi and the RSS ideology to the world. The situation in Kashmir is what the RSS wants in the sub-continent. Eight million Kashmiris have been under siege for the past 53 days. Education, hospitals, medical stores and internet are closed down in the region.

In his speech, the PM proved himself to be a true world leader as he talked about climate change and money laundering. Imran Khan has endeared himself to the entire Muslim world. He promised to tirelessly fight for the people of Kashmir.
