The distressed gather outside the building in an attempt to get justice, to make their voices heard
KARACHI: There is an old and beautiful building in Karachi, the Karachi Press Club, where journalists gather daily to discuss different topics and share opinions on all kinds of topics. Outside this building many hopeless people come with high hopes that those inside will hear their voices and help to resolve their issues.
Every day we see those that have no choice left but to come to the Karachi Press Club from different districts in Sindh in an attempt to get justice. Sometimes disabled people hold demonstrations there for their rights. Many families protest for their missing siblings. Government and private employees come here for their basic rights and so many others travel from the corners of the region to the Karachi Press Club. They set up camps and live there for days and sometimes weeks because they believe that those who are inside will raise their issues and help.
