Jamaat-e-Islami chief is among those who want to misinterpret the message of Islam.
KARACHI: This is with reference to your editorial of July 6 titled “Absurd logic on rape”. It seems that people like the Jamaat-e-Islami chief are among those who want to misinterpret the message of Islam. Rape happens usually quite suddenly and the victim is caught unawares. The time and place are not of her choosing. So how can such a victim hope to have four witnesses who should see the crime take place, not interfere, and only come to her rescue once it’s over by agreeing to testifying in court?
