The students of Gwadar University also demand permanent lecturers to provide a good quality education
TURBAT, BALOCHISTAN: Gwadar, a port city of Pakistan, is being developed under the umbrella of numerous projects. One such project, namely CPEC, is considered very significant. It will eventually blossom into the backbone of progress and development for the whole of Pakistan.
Unfortunately, Gwadar is deprived of many basic facilities, including proper educational facilities. The city that hosts nearly 260,000 people has only one university.
The University of Gwadar consists of four departments; Commerce, Computer Science, Education and Management Science. It is an educational institution that admits students from distant areas such as Pishukan, Jiwani, Ganz, Kappar and Pasni. Despite this, it is clear that the institution lacks many departments and adequate facilities to provide education to a large number of students.
There are more than 1,500 students currently enrolled at the university. The university should have departments of Balochi language and literature, English language and literature, chemistry, biology, law et al. Furthermore, the university lacks clean drinking water as the water available there is impure. The students of Gwadar University also demand permanent lecturers to provide a good quality education since teachers there are not experienced. There should be lecturers with PhD degrees.
I demand of the government of Balochistan to do the needful without any further loss of time.
