KARACHI: In Karachi, the problem of public transport has been worsening by the day. This situation has been prevailing for the past many years. Gradually the number of buses has been dwindling, and now only a few buses are left on the road. The government announces it is launching yellow, blue, red and all primary colour bus lines. Then after a few years it says it has no money to complete these road transport schemes. Around several months ago the Sindh government had announced that it would soon launch 200 new air conditioned buses in Karachi. This promise remains unfilled despite the passage of several months. Nor is there any follow-up news.
