Despite being the only hospital in the district of Kech, it remains ill-equipped to deal with patients
TURBAT: Through your esteemed journal I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the lack of necessary facilities at Turbat Civil Hospital. Despite being the only hospital in the district of Kech, it remains ill-equipped to deal with patients and any unforeseen situations. On a recent visit, I inquired about the equipment available for emergencies at the hospital. An attendant told me that basics such as bandages, drips, pyodine, gauze, syringes and even oxygen gas are not available there. I was shocked to learn about this as most of these things barely cost Rs20. I urge the government to provide our hospitals with the essentials at least. If government hospitals lack these basic things to treat emergencies, then where are the poor citizens supposed to go, as we cannot afford private treatment.
