The players have learnt much after the match against India
TURBAT: The Pakistan cricket team gave an extraordinary performance on Wednesday as it won the match against New Zealand with six wickets. Despite being number seven, they were able to defeat the number one and the most formidable team in the World Cup. On 16th July, people criticised Pakistan’s captain and some of the players for losing the match against India by 89 runs. Sarfaraz Ahmed was dismayed by the criticism. However, the latest win has rekindled hope in Pakistanis that they will win the championship. The players have learnt much after the match against India. Baber Azam finally scored a century – the first Pakistani to do so in the World Cup in 32 years. Fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled exceedingly well. Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir and Shadab Khan also performed well. The Pakistani team should maintain the same level of performance in their future matches, and show the country how dedicated they are. We are looking forward to the Team Pakistan to bring the World Cup trophy home. We are looking forward to the revival of the electrifying atmosphere of 1992. We hope they will win the trophy when the 1992 cricket team captain, Imran Khan, is Pakistan’s prime minister.
